End Genocide Action Summit Financial Aid Application -- All Attendees
STAND/United to End Genocide (previously Genocide Intervention Network/Save Darfur Coalition) will provide a limited number of registration fee waivers for the End Genocide Action Summit, geared towards creating a Generation without Genocide. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until available fee waiver funds are depleted.
Update: Financial aid for the End Genocide Action Summit will now be available in the form of fee waivers of $50. There is now a "register now, pay later" option for all registrants. If you have already registered and opted to pay, you are unfortunately not eligible for financial aid. If you have any questions, please e-mail lwoolf@standnow.org. Note that the financial aid fee waiver does not cover travel or accommodation, it only waives the $50 registration fee.
Eligibility
- Applicants with a demonstrated financial need who otherwise will be unable to attend the End Genocide Action Summit qualify for financial aid. Applicants must agree to use the funds to attend the full conference, October 22nd & 23rd.
- Priority will be given to applicants who agree to participate in the Lobby Day on October 24th and to those who could otherwise not afford to attend at all
- As funds are limited, preference will be given to applications received before October 1st.
- All applicants must complete the registration fee waiver application below.
- By applying for and accepting the registration fee waiver, recipient agrees that testimonials may be used on United to End Genocide or STAND's website or in future marketing materials.
Instructions
- Complete the financial aid application below.
- If you register and pay with a credit card before being approved, you will not receive reimbursement for this expense. No exceptions.
- Registration for the End Genocide Action Summit confirms your acceptance of the registration fee waiver. You must register online within five days of notification of waiver award or your award will be revoked.
- Applicants must complete and return conference evaluation forms following the conclusion of the conference.
- If you are approved for a fee waiver and you decide not to attend the conference or no longer need the waiver, please e-mail lwoolf@standnow.org as soon as possible so the funds can be transferred to another applicant.
Notification Process
- All applicants will be notified within 10 days from the date the completed application is submitted whether or not their application has been approved and, if approved, will receive instructions for how to register using their registration fee waiver.
- Fee waiver recipients must register online within five days of receipt of notification or the award will be revoked and transferred to another applicant.
