STAND DESIGN CONTEST

YOUR DESIGN COULD BE ON THE NEXT STAND T-SHIRT

This fall, STAND is launching its first ever Graphic Design Competition. We are calling on members like you, whether you’re part of a chapter, an alum or just an individual interested in designing an awesome new graphic for the student anti-genocide movement, to send in a design which could be featured nationally on STAND and chapter merchandise. This is your chance to use your creativity and artistic talents to contribute directly to STAND, Genocide Intervention Network, and the anti-genocide movement. Plus, if your design is chosen, you'll receive a $100 cash prize, free merchandise, and national recognition from STAND and Genocide Intervention Network!

 What if your design is chosen? If your design is chosen, you will receive:

• $100 cash prize
• Free merchandise with your design
• Credit for the design on our website and in national communications
• Featured national recognition via a blog post or national newsletter
  
• If you are referred by a member of a chapter, the chapter will receive sponsorship for a free pizza party

Who is eligible? Anyone is eligible -- chapters, chapter members, or individuals not affiliated with chapters are all eligible and encouraged to apply. Submissions are unlimited -- you can submit as many designs to the contest as you want! Each entry must be received individually using our submission form.

What should the design incorporate? Your design must in some way include STAND’s current logo, but get creative. Your design should represent STAND’s mission to unite students in a permanent anti-genocide constituency, and reflect the innovation, informed advocacy, and effective organizing our members have come to be known for. Ideally your design should also include standnow.org and be usable for all forms of merchandise.

How should the design be submitted? You may upload your design using our submission form.
    Submissions should follow the below guidelines:

• We support JPEG, PNG, GIF, or TIFF files.
• T-shirts are created at a minimum of 150 ppi (pixels per inch).
• To fill the full area, we recommend that you use images that are equal to or larger than the recommended sizes below. For images smaller than these sizes, you should not fill the full area, but will have additional "white space"
• Pocket (4" x 4") = 600 x 600 pixels
• Horizontal (14" x 12") = 2100 x 1800 pixels
• Vertical (12" x 14") = 1800 x 2100 pixels
• If your image is bigger than these sizes, it'll turn out even better since it will be printed at an even higher resolution than the minimum.
• Multiple submissions of the same graphic but in different colors, sizes, shapes, etc. are also acceptable.

When to submit the design? All submissions are due by November 16th. Designs must be submitted via our online submission form to be eligible.
