Hey Great Lakes upSTANDers!

We are so excited to see you all at the Northwestern Chapter Retreat this March 7th! It's going to be an amazing day, full of fresh perspectives and exciting new developments to increase our effectiveness as anti-genocide activists. As an entirely grassroots, student-driven movement, STAND relies on you guys, its members, for innovative ideas, renewed energy, and new approaches. As we work to build a sustainable movement that will address genocide wherever it occurs, your input on the direction of this movement is vital; in fact, as we expand our engagement into other areas of the world and begin focusing on the new administration, we need it now more than ever.

That's where this year's chapter retreat at Northwestern comes in. When you come to the retreat, you'll find that it's entirely student-led and draws on the strengths and experiences of different chapters in our region. We can't wait to join you in strategizing for the future and creating a plan of action for the coming months. Our day at Northwestern will be full of new ideas, new materials, and new relationships. We can't wait to see you there!

Sincerely,
Rebecca Burns (greatlakes@standnow.org)
Caroline McCarthy (greatlakes.hs@standnow.org)
Liz Salowitz (illinois.hs@standnow.org)
Sasha Klyachkina (ohio@standnow.org)
