Regional Response Teams
Join STAND’s Regional Response Team!
The STAND Regional Responders will be a team of dedicated activists trained in advocacy tactics and strategies, divided according to STAND region and state, to hold the Obama administration accountable to fighting genocide on Day One. Equipped with advanced lobbying tools, these activists will ensure that the new administration upholds its promise of “unstinting resolve” to end the genocide in Darfur. This team will be responsible for engaging with their peers and community members to produce consistent pressure on the new administration. In addition to taking action and participating directly in the 100 Days campaign, Responders will be called on to help develop new and creative advocacy tactics, reach out to other activists to increase participation, and respond immediately to urgent calls for action, especially as they apply to their district or state.

UPDATE:
Now, Congress is planning to further cut the foreign aid budget, already less than 1% of our national budget, and slashing funding for disaster assistance, migration and refugee assistance, a complex crises fund and others that keep people alive.
STAND has partnered up with with the ONE Campaign and ten other leading organizations in a nation-wide effort to get our message through to Congress: these cuts will cost lives.
