What to look forward to: The 2008 National Student Conference Agenda
Friday, November 7 - Rally in front of the Old Executive Office Building (3-4pm)
- Put pressure on the newly elected president and his administration by rallying in front of the transition team’s office. Click here for more information about the Rally and Lobbying your representatives.
Saturday, November 8 – Day 1 at the L’Enfant Plaza Hotel (8am–7pm)
- Attend brand new workshops and panels such as “Building Burma: Understanding the Layers of Conflict,” "The upSTANDer’s Guide to the Web 2.0,” and a “Journalists Speak Out” panel.
- Learn from student leaders in the anti-genocide movement, survivors of genocide, and experts on Darfur, Burma, and the DR Congo.
Sunday, November 9 - Day 2 at the L’Enfant Plaza Hotel (8am–3pm)
- Meet STAND’s National Student Leadership Team and learn how you can get involved.
- Hear about STAND’s exciting winter and spring initiatives for the 08-09 year, including STANDFast and the 100 Days campaign.
- Collaborate with students and adult activists from your region and plan for the spring semester.
- Participate in the Tents of Hope event on the National Mall (12-3pm).

How to secure your spot: Registration Fee
For All Students:
Please click here to go to the payment page to pay your registration fee online.
While we prefer for payments to be made online, checks are
accepted. Please click here to download the check form that must be printed out, completed, and mailed in along with the $50 registration check.
Space is limited, so until we receive your online payment or check, we cannot guarantee your spot in the conference. Once we receive your payment, you will receive a confirmation email from STAND and your spot will be officially registered.

Where to stay: Housing Information
For Students 18 years or over
College students have the option of having their housing arranged by STAND. College students who indicate on their registration form that would like to receive housing will be paired with a D.C. college student that has agreed to host STAND conference attendees for the weekend. Once assigned a student host, you are responsible for coordinating with that person on your arrival and departure times. If you decide to forgo this option, please take a look at our list of suggested hotels, or contact a friend in the area!
For Students under 18
STAND is currently unable to provide students under 18 with housing accommodations for the weekend.
