Win a Visit from Omékongo to Your Campus!

Enter our raffle to win a free visit from activist and spoken word artist Omékongo to your school - on us!

If you are selected, STAND will pay for Omékongo's transportation, accommodations and honorarium to perform at your school in the fall.

How does it work? Organize a fundraiser at your school and every $5 you donate to the Genocide Intervention Network, our parent organization, will enter your school for an additional chance to win!

Omékongo is the son of Congolese refugees who fled violence for a better life in America. As a first generation Congolese-American, Omékongo grew up in an environment that led him to experience what he calls "the best and worst of both African and African-American societies." He has witnesses firsthand the effects of the ongoing atrocities in Congo and now spreads his message of activism through positive rap and motivational poetry.

Check out our resources for planning a successful fundraiser event, including comprehensive 'How-To' guides! Also, contact your Outreach Coordinator for tips, tricks and help generating publicity to create an awesome fundraiser - and tell us what you're up to.

Send your donations to Genocide Intervention Network by May 15th to be considered for our drawing. We will randomly select the winning chapter and contact them shortly thereafter to coordinate Omekongo's visit.
