Converse College STAND Chapter

In fall 2007 the Converse College STAND chapter was started. Though not many people were initially involved, the STAND chapter's membership has grown to about 20 active students this year!! Last spring, Converse had a huge benefit dinner, called the Dinner for Darfur, in which over $6,000 was raised for GI-Net's Civilian Protection Program. This year we are working hard to increase membership and expand our awareness to the conflicts in Burma and the Congo.
