National Canvass to Prevent Genocide

How did you first learn about the Holocaust or the genocide in Darfur? For many of us, it was through a conversation or a story shared with us by a friend or teacher. Unbelievably, there are many people who still don't know that genocide is a problem today, or know that their actions can make a difference. Now that we know, it's our turn to spread the word.

From December 1-7, our goal is to get thousands of people to pledge to join the movement to prevent genocide. To do so, we are "canvassing" our neighborhoods, campuses and communities to talk to people about the importance of genocide prevention. We're asking them to add their name to the growing community of people who demand a stronger commitment to preventing genocide by signing a pledge.

Be part of the action, and invite everyone you know to be part of the movement. Sign up now to lead a canvass in your community on Dec 1st through the 7th: http://www.ipledge2protect.org

From talking to your friends, to tabling on campus or engaging your community, there are a hundred ways you can collect pledges online or on paper. Whatever you choose to do, your event will be one of hundreds taking place to create grassroots support for genocide prevention.
