Rock 'n' Raise for Darfur

About Rock 'n' Raise

We’re students who envision peace. We are activists, musicians, artists. We’re global-minded, locally active. We want a peaceful and prosperous Darfur. We’re young people coming together to raise $50,000 to give Darfuri children the education they deserve.

One month. Dozens of schools. Thousands of energized, caring students. Together, we’re organizing fundraising drives across the city - in our schools and communities, with our friends, teachers, and community members.

And to celebrate it all, we’re rocking out at the Rock ‘n' Raise for Darfur concert on February 14 at the Metro. Bands that are famous, and local bands - who we’re pretty sure will one day be famous - will use the power of music to change lives. Darfuri lives, and even ours.

Join us this February as we help Darfuri refugee children living without access to quality education in eastern Chad. Get your school involved. Tell your friends. Tell your teachers, family, community. Explore this site to learn more about how you can take action.

Special thanks to Pitchfork media for their support.

Rock ‘n' Raise for Darfur is an intiative of Youth United for Darfur, a Chicagowide student coalition working to assist the people of Darfur.
