AquaMoon is AWESOME

Our April 1st die-in - expressing solidarity with those being victimized in Sudan - followed on the anti-sexist heels of another outstanding AquaMoon performance. As explained in the Queens Ledger article (see story below), AquaMoon is a spoken-word performance group dedicated to creatively and peacefully combating the evils of sexism, racism, and injustice in general. After their (brilliant!) performance, which involved audience engagement and discussion (serving to prove that communication is the key towards the creation of peace), AquaMoon and STAND students united to participate in the die-in, forming a peace sign in the middle of our campus quad. We hope that through our expressions of peace and our engagement with individuals at the visual, emotional, and cerebral levels, together we truly can create positive change in our universe.
